2014-2015 Student Branch Officers
President: Connor McGreal
This season (2014-2015) the Tucson Chapter is offering three $500 scholarships. These scholarships are being made available to regular or student members that are current with Society and Chapter dues. Applicants can apply to use the scholarships for any professional educational purpose of $500 or less.
This means the scholarships may be used for an individual member to further their education in our field for any of the following: professional books, correspondence courses, seminars, classes, or other educational related event that furthers your education in the HVAC related field. Events are not limited to the Tucson area and classes may also be of the correspondence course type. These scholarships are not only made available to college students. Every current Chapter member is eligible to apply for the scholarships.
If you have any questions feel free to contact Buzz Wright.
The student activities committee is currently organizing multiple visits to various K-12 schools to talk about engineering and have fun with the students with some engineering-related activities. Additionally, the committee will be volunteering as judges at a K-12 science fair. If you are interested in getting involved or have any questions about K-12/STEM contact Buzz Wright.
All Student Members of the ASHRAE Tucson Chapter are given the opportunity to have their resumes reviewed by the local chapter members for comments and suggestions. Additionally, Student Member resumes will be posted here for local firm consideration. If you are a student and would like to have your resume reviewed and/or posted on our website contact Buzz Wright.
